Welcome Psychonaut

Before you hit our street corner and taste our mind candy, here are just a few questions you might like to have answered:

Who are you?

My name is Ember and I have a love for all things mind-trippy and a hunger for experimentation! Some of you may know me from elsewhere online, and that’s great! I love it when our interests intersect, don’t you? 🙂

What are Digital Highs?

You might have heard them called by other names: Mind Trips, Doses, Binaurals etc. When I speak of Digital Highs, I’m referring to a carefully designed audio track which contains either Binaural, Isochronic or Monaural beats, which affect your brain in a similar way to recreational drugs. I usually prefer to use Monaural or Isochronic tones in my tracks, because they are effective over speakers as well as headphones.

How does it work?

The very short answer, is that the tones I use in my tracks are set to resonate at specific frequencies which correspond with your brainwaves when you enter a certain state. By altering and adjusting these frequencies, you can ‘trick’ your brain into entering these states at will. A great deal of research has been conducted into this phenomenon, over many years (including quite a lot by me!). It is now widely accepted that the use of Binaural, Monaural and Isochronic tones can be very effective in inducing desired neural activity.

Is it safe?

Yes. There are no long-term negative side-effects known with the use of Digital Highs, they are not addictive and cannot permanently change your brain. That said, precautions should always be taken. If you are Epileptic, have a pace-maker or suffer from seizures or anxiety attacks, DO NOT use my tracks. No, seriously. Do not use while driving or operating heavy machinery, or during any time when you need to be fully conscious and aware.

Why is there music in your tracks?

I know that there are many binaural beat tracks out there without music, but I find it much more interesting and pleasant to listen to tracks which have a musical overlay. The music I use is specifically created so as not to interfere with the beats in my Digital Highs. It’s there simply to enhance the experience.

Can I download these tracks?

Sure! Just right-click the link and select ‘Save as’ (Or whatever your browser’s equivalent is.) But I would ask that you don’t upload them elsewhere online. I’m happy to give you shit for free, but I’m a total credit-whore. 😉

Will it work for everyone?

Unfortunately, no. While the majority of people will experience changes in consciousness, there are a small number of listeners who will not achieve the desired result. All brains are different, and I can’t guarantee that my technology will be compatible with everyone. The good news though, is that often it only takes practice and patience to teach your brain to respond to my tracks!

Are you encouraging or condoning the use of recreational drugs?

Absolutely not. But I AM recognizing that it’s human nature to want to experiment and experience things beyond the usual. Digital Highs are in no way a ‘gateway drug’ to real narcotics, which are profoundly different and often dangerous. Be smart, be safe, go digital!
